Why SkyPath Exists

Why SkyPath exists

It started with my own question.

I could feel my calling, but not name it

SkyPath began as my own search. As an astrologer, I could read every piece of my chart, and I had an inkling of where my life was leaning. But I couldn’t pin it down. Each placement told me something true about myself. None of them, on its own, told me which way to go.

Ikigai came close

I loved ikigai, the Japanese idea of a reason for being: the place where what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs and what you can be paid for all meet. It asked the right question. But it asked me to already know the answers, and mine were still blurry.

I knew where those answers live. A birth chart holds them from the day you are born, and it holds something ikigai doesn’t: a direction, the path from where you come from to where you are called. What I was missing was a way to read the pieces together, as one clear answer. So I set out to build it: your ikigai, written in the sky.

Along the way, I learned something that made me smile. The four-circle diagram everyone shares as “ikigai” isn’t from Japan. It was drawn by Andrés Zuzunaga, an astrologer in Barcelona, as a map of purpose, first published in 2012, with a star at its centre. In 2014 the blogger Marc Winn put the word ikigai where purpose had been, and the diagram travelled the world under that name. The best-known map of a reason for being had come from an astrologer all along. Bringing it back to the birth chart didn’t feel like borrowing. It felt like bringing it home.

Why it had to be for everyone

I didn’t want this answer to belong only to people who book a reading. Most people at a crossroads never sit down with an astrologer. So the first step had to be free and simple: a few birth details, and your calling in your own words, in under a minute.

And it had to be true. Astrology deserves better than vague horoscopes, so SkyPath had to be a real method, the same clear rules for every chart, with every word traced back to the sky you were born under. Something you can trust when you most need direction.

And it helped me find mine

Building SkyPath, I kept coming back to my own chart, and each time the picture got a little sharper. What had been an inkling became words: I am here to offer insightful words about real worth, turned into steady guidance through life’s turning points. I had been doing it all along, in my readings and with the people I care about. SkyPath didn’t come from nowhere: it is one more way I live that calling, and it grew straight out of who I am.

My SkyPath

Here it is, in full

This is what SkyPath wrote from my birth chart.

  1. I’m a fearless truth-seeker, and I light up when I step forward in my own presence.
  2. What comes naturally to me is writing that reaches beneath the surface, to what matters most.
  3. I can be known for work that nurtures people, through service done boldly.
  4. I’m called to build something that lasts, through the trust and change I share with others.

My calling

To the world, I offer insightful words about real worth, turned into steady guidance through life’s turning points.
My SkyPath card: what lights me up, stepping forward in my own presence; what comes naturally, writing that reaches beneath the surface; what I can be known for, work that nurtures people, through service; what I’m called to, building something that lasts, through trust and change. At the centre, my calling.
